Important Info/Tips

✓When working with kids or pets, remember to bring toys, snacks, or items they enjoy to help distract them

✓Come prepared based on weather-wear easy layers to add or remove based on temperature

✓If the shooting location is a distance away from parking, consider bringing an alternative pair of shoes for travel

✓Show up to the session already dressed, with accessories on, etc. to make the most of the scheduled time

✓Keep in mind transitional glasses lenses, they will show up darker or with a colored glare

✓Photos can be stressful but trust your photographer and don't let the little things bother you-make the most of it and go with the flow

✓If you are scheduling the session with other people, pick your outfit first and coordinate theirs to what you feel most comfortable in

✓Coordinate outfit colors and groups rather than matching everyone's outfit exactly- stick to limited patterns

✓Prepare with ideas of what you are looking for (Pinterest, example photos) and share expectations with me

✓Always ask me questions when you have them!

Style Guide

When working with more than one person, you will want to coordinate outfits

If you are scheduling the photos, you pick your outfit first!

Often the leader of the group (mom, wife, girlfriend, etc) is busy planning everyone else's outfit before their own. Plan your outfit first and then coordinate everyone else's to yours. If you are scheduling the photos, you should feel the most confident!

Coordinate with the location/vibe

Based on where you are shooting and the time of the year, certain outfit choices may be better than others. For example, shooting in the fall with the leaves will look different than shooting in the spring with the flowers. Color and layer options will vary.

Most important- pick a color palette!

When looking at your color palette, you want to stick to three- four colors and limit to one- two patterns. For example, you don't want a family matching exactly or wearing all different colors with stripes, polka dots, flannel, etc. Use the one pattern to tie the rest of the colors together.
